We specialize in automotive wiring services and swap harness fabrication.

What is a TDC SHOP universal fit harness? It is a modified oem engine harness for function of respective engine to operate outside its native chassis, in short a swap harness.

All TDC harnesses utilize the engines oem ecu for the motor being installed. The harness can be configured one of two ways, universal or plug and play. While some harnesses have limitations due to the existing wiring in the new chassis we can generally suit your plug and play needs on most all models up to MK4 chassis plugging directly into your existing chassis harness to achieve motor, fuel pump, and gauge cluster operation.

Universal fitment works in anything- literally. The harness is stripped down to function off its own self contained ECU power supply and fuel pump relay. Two fused battery leads feed power to these relays and the entire system is “turned on” using a very low amp draw trigger 12V+ lead. This lead can be anything from a toggle off the battery to a ignition source from your fuse box. Another lead is labeled in the harness to be connected to your fuel pump. Last any applicable oem gauge leads are labeled in the harness and left to the discretion of the end user to be hooked up if they so desire. All OBD2 harnesses contain a new scanner port.

You will need to operate the starter solenoid, alternator exciter, and radiator fans via external means.
